Michael Strahan has not made amends with his former Live co-host Kelly Ripa. After leaving Ripa in the dust for a co-hosting gig on Good Morning America in 2016, Strahan admitted that they still don’t talk to each other, despite the years that have passed.
Strahan made headlines in the spring of 2016 when he suddenly announced he was leaving Live for a spot on GMA. Ripa was visibly upset by the announcement and later revealed that she was completely blindsided by the move.

According to Page Six, Ripa was so hurt that she took an entire week off to deal with the situation. When she returned, things got so tense on set that Strahan decided to leave the talk show months before he was originally scheduled to exit.
“I learned through all that went down with that, you can’t convince people to like you,” Strahan shared. “I haven’t spoken to her in a long time.”
Strahan is currently a host on GMA’s third hour and stars alongside Sara Haines in the afternoon slot.
Ripa, meanwhile, has moved on since Strahan’s departure and has a new co-host in Ryan Seacrest. Ripa is also enjoying life as a mom and wife to husband Mark Consuelos.
Speaking of her family, Ripa recently admitted that she will not be following in her husband’s footsteps when it comes to the keto diet. The Live host revealed that the trendy low-carb diet is not for her because she simply does not have that “level of discipline.”

Ripa and Consuelos, who stars on the hit CW show Riverdale, have been married for 22 years and counting. The couple shares three children together: Michael, 21, Lola, 17, and Joaquin, 15.
The Live star has not said anything about Strahan’s latest comments. Shortly after Strahan’s exit in 2016, Ripa admitted that she felt like people deserve to be treated with respect, especially when it comes to the workplace.
